Creating a Seamless VIP Experience on the Water

KCD Worldwide, a premier event production agency specializing in luxury brand experiences, contacted AquaPartyBoat to coordinate a high-end water taxi and support vessel service on behalf of their client, Dom Perignon.

The occasion: an exclusive, multi-day event to launch the 2015 Millesimé vintage.

The goal was to ferry high-profile guests—including brand partners, celebrities, and media figures—from a limousine drop-off point in Miami directly to a private floating event space anchored in Biscayne Bay.

The client required seamless VIP boarding, immaculate presentation, and safe, stylish transportation aboard luxury event boats.

The activation spanned three full event days, requiring the use of our entire party boat fleet. Additionally, our large pontoon boat was hired on day one to support the setup crew and transport production equipment.

The event presented several high-level logistical challenges

  • Weather & Bay Conditions: Biscayne Bay’s dynamic conditions demanded flexible operations, with a focus on guest safety and comfort at all times.

  • Docking at a Floating Venue: The floating event space required advanced docking skills, ensuring guests could embark and disembark smoothly, safely, and without disrupting the experience.

  • Continuous Adaptation: Timing, tides, and high-profile guest schedules required real-time adjustments throughout the event.

Delivering a Fully-Branded, Luxury Event Fleet

AquaPartyBoat delivered a full-service, branded event boat experience that exceeded expectations:

  • Custom-Branded Fleet: We worked closely with KCD to fully wrap and brand our vessels with Dom Perignon’s identity, transforming our fleet into sleek, floating brand extensions.

  • VIP Docking & Access: Our marina offered the perfect location—just steps from the limousine drop-off—for smooth, secure guest boarding. Hosts greeted and directed guests as they arrived.

  • Luxury-Ready Crew & Vessels: Our captains and crew, trained in VIP service protocols and dressed in formal uniforms, maintained high-touch hospitality throughout the event. Our boats are built to withstand changing conditions while providing a stable, upscale experience.

  • Adaptable Operations: Our experienced captains navigated multiple docking environments, ensuring safe transfers even when weather required changes mid-event.

Execution Timeline

Three Days of Precision Planning and Execution

The operation spanned 3 days, with 2 main event days:

    Pre-Event Site Visit: We hosted the executive team from Dom Perignon and KCD aboard one of our event boats to tour potential anchoring spots and select the final floating venue location in Biscayne Bay.

    Setup Support (Day 1): Our yacht hosted a smaller team to decide on the final anchoring location and angles the event space will be located. Shortly after our large pontoon boat was used all day to transport over 100 crew members along with equipment including lighting, fog machines, sound systems, catering supplies, and more.

    Guest Transfers (Event Days): Our custom-branded vessels, TipSea and GypSea, served as VIP water taxis, ferrying guests between the marina and the floating event space.

    On-the-Fly Adjustments: On the second day, weather conditions required relocation of the floating venue mid-event. Our team adjusted without interruption, docking safely at multiple locations while maintaining a seamless guest experience.
